Four Main Line Health Hospitals Are Named The Best In The Nation

PENNSYLVANIA — Four Main Line Health hospitals were named best in the country in Healthgrades 2024 America’s Best Hospitals Awards.

Healthgrades, an online healthcare information company based in Denver, Colo., released its 2024 list of America’s Best Hospitals on Tuesday.

Healthgrades evaluated 4,500 hospitals across more than 30 common procedures and conditions to determine the ratings.

Lankenau Medical Center, Lower Merion Township and Riddle Hospital, Media, were in the top 1 percent. Bryn Mawr Hospital, Radnor Township, and Paoli Hospital, Willistown Township, were in the top 5 percent.

“We are proud of receiving this recognition for delivering safe, high-quality, affordable, and equitable health care at our hospitals,” Lawrence Hanover, Main Line Health spokesman said Wednesday. “This is a tribute to all our employees, whose dedication to our patients shines through every day.”

Lankenau Hospital

Lankenau, Wynnewood, Lower Merion Township, was recognized in the top 50 hospitals nationwide in 2024, 2023, and 2022.

The hospital was also named in the top 50 for cardiac care in 2024, 2023, and 2022, cardiac surgery in 2024, 2023, and 2022; critical care in 2024; pulmonary care in 2024, 2023, and 2022; and prostate surgery in 2024.

Bryn Mawr Hospital

Bryn Mawr Hospital, Radnor Township, was recognized in the top 250 hospitals in 2024. The hospital also received the Outstanding Patient Experience Award in 2023, 2022, and 2021.

The hospital also earned the top 100 hospitals for pulmonary care in 2024; the Critical Care Excellence Award in 2024, and the Gastrointestinal Care Award in 2024 and 2023.

Bryn Mawr Hospital also earned awards for excellence in 2023 and 2022 in joint replacement, pulmonary and surgical care.

Paoli Hospital

Paoli Hospital, Willistown Township, was recognized in the top 250 hospitals in the nation in 2024 and 2023. The hospital earned the Cranial Neurosurgery Award in 2024, the Critical Care Excellence Award in 2024, and the Neuroscience Excellence Award in 2024.

In addition, the hospital earned the Outstanding Patient Award in 2023, 2022, and 2021.
Paoli Hospital was awarded the Pulmonary Care Excellence Award in 2024 and the Stroke Care Excellence Award in 2024 and 2022.

Riddle Hospital

Riddle Hospital, Media, was recognized in the top 50 hospitals in the nation in 2024.

The hospital was also named to the top 100 hospitals in 2023 and 2022. The hospital was awarded the top 100 in critical care in 2024 and 2023, and the top 100 for gastrointestinal care and gastrointestinal surgery in 2024. The hospital also earned the 100 Best Award in Pulmonary Care in 2024 and the Award of Excellence in Stroke Care in 2024.
