How to Donate to the Radnor Police K9 Program

$150,000 needs to be raised.

The Radnor Police Department has received the approval of the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners for its first-ever K9 Unit. But the two-year pilot program is conditional upon successfully raising the funding goal of $150,000 for the program through community donations.

The pilot program will start a new K9 Unit with two bomb/patrol dogs which will provide canine services to the community on a daily basis, according to a letter sent out seeking donations. Two officers have been selected and each will be undergoing 24 weeks of extensive training along with two K9 dogs.

According to the letter, the program will allow police to use the dogs on patrol with their police officer handlers to help investigate burglaries and robberies and sniff for bombs before public events.
