New Principal And Associate Principal Hired By Radnor School Board
The Radnor School Board approved the new hires during a special meeting Tuesday, and the two started working Wednesday.
RADNOR, PA — Radnor School Board in a special meeting Tuesday approved hiring a new principal and associate principal at Radnor High School to start Wednesday, July 12.
Dr. Joseph MacNamara was named the new principal at an annual salary of $158,000. Dr. H. Judy Lee was named assistant principal at an annual salary of $151,000.
The high school has 1,213 students in grades nine through 12.

Superintendent Kenneth E. Batchelor said the district conducted an extensive and thorough search that brought the district two individuals who exemplify excellence.
“I am confident that together, with our dedicated staff, parents, and community, Dr. MacNamara and Dr. Lee will build upon the exceptional educational experience that Radnor High School provides and help to unlock the potential in all Radnor students,” the superintendent said.

During the meeting, MacNamara said it is a privilege to serve as the new high school principal.
“I am thrilled to continue working with such an amazing staff,” said MacNamara, who worked as vice principal for the high school since 2020. “Our district is second to none.”
Lee also said she is honored and humbled to work in the district, which has a history of excellence.
MacNamara’s experience
The superintendent said that over the past three years, MacNamara has been a vital part of the success of Radnor High School, overseeing aspects of curriculum, discipline, and school safety, while working with teachers to develop their craft, and professional development.
“His dedication to creating a collaborative culture, cultivating strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, and promoting a well-rounded education for all, will undoubtedly shape the future of Radnor High School,” the superintendent said.
Prior to working at Radnor High, MacNamara worked at the Coatesville Area School District as an assistant principal.
He began his career as a social studies teacher in 2006, after graduating from Millersville University.
MacNamara earned his Doctor of Education from Immaculata University in 2020.
“We look forward to the positive impact Dr. MacNamara will have on our community as we continue to strive for excellence in education,” the superintendent said.
Lee’s experience
Prior to joining Radnor, Lee was the principal of Penn Wood High School in Lansdowne, where she led several initiatives on curriculum development, scheduling, professional development, and post-secondary pathways.
Prior to working at Penn Wood, Lee taught high school mathematics in Philadelphia and was honored, earning a Lindback Educator of the Year Award for demonstrating excellence in promoting learning at the highest levels.
She began her career as a middle school math teacher in Seoul, Korea; and in 2009 she earned her Doctor of Education from Temple University.
"Dr. Lee is an experienced educator and administrator who will be a tremendous asset to Radnor High School,” the superintendent said.
