Pets Looking for People: Birdie

Come meet Birdie at Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals in Radnor.

The following comes from Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals.

Want a flopsy, rubbery lapful of love? A girl who’s super sweet, will listen to all your troubles (even chime in with a chatty response), and offer helpful tips on the art of relaxing? That would be Birdie.

A three-year-old Shih Tzu, Birdie is all about you and her. Her favorite spot in the entire world is a lap.  She’ll drape herself over your arms, head hanging like a mop, and just pass out, blissfully limp and content. If you forget to pet her, she’ll remind you with a gentle high-five pat. But don’t think Birdie is nothing but lazy. No, no.

At Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals in Radnor Birdie also has demanding duties as an office assistant.  Every day she spreads herself diligently across the staff desk to get in the way of paperwork, watching for that weak moment when she can get someone to lift her up so she can give them a lavish kiss. Birdie shares the office with five other dogs, so she also has to make sure she gets sufficient attention. So much to do! But Birdie is great at it, winning every heart because there’s no way not to fall in love with this little girl.

Because of an eye condition Birdie gets drops three times a day and always will, but she’s perfectly blasé about that and her vision is not affected. She prefers boy dogs or submissive females, is fine with cats and also kids. This is a snuggler, mellow and loving – and she can change your life.
