Plebes No More
Each year, all newly entering cadets at Valley Forge Military Academy and College are known as "Plebes" until they complete a 6-week period of training known as the Plebe System.
Each year, all newly entering cadets at Valley Forge Military Academy and College are known as “Plebes” until they complete a 6-week period of training known as the Plebe System. The Plebe System tests cadets mentally, physically and morally.
Similar to the Crucible Training that young civilian men and women take to be in the Marine Corps, the VFMA and C Plebes tested their mettle as a culmination of their military-style training.
On Wednesday the plebes, divided into teams, competed in combat water survival, physical fitness training, paintball, the obstacle course, and the high ropes course on College Hill.
