Radnor Hosting 2 Blood Drives This Week

Radnor Township is teaming up with the Red Cross to host two blood drives this week. Those who give will earn an Amazon gift card.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Radnor-area residents are invited to support the life-saving efforts of the Red Cross by giving blood this week.

Radnor Township is hosting a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday in the Radnor Township Building. Another drive is scheduled at the Radnor Memorial Library Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Appointments to donate can also be made by calling 800-733-2767.

Those who donate blood at either of these drives will be given a $10 Amazon gift card.

Donors with O, B negative, or A negative blood types are encouraged to make a Power Red donation, which is similar to a whole blood donation, except a special machine is used to allow you to safely donate two units of red blood cells during one donation while returning your plasma and platelets to you.

The Radnor Township Building is located at 301 Iven Ave. in Radnor, and the Radnor Memorial Library is located at 114 W. Wayne Ave. in Wayne.
