Radnor OKs Land Development Plan For New Elementary School
The Radnor Township School District is closer to demolishing Ithan Elementary School and replacing it with a new, larger school.
RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — The Radnor Township Board of Commissioners gave the OK to the Radnor Township School District's land development plan related to the demolition of an existing school and the construction of a new school.
The board's unanimous support of a resolution that approved the plan means the New Ithan Elementary Project is on schedule to be completed for the 2027-28 school year.
As part of this project, Ithan Elementary School, located at 695 Clyde Road in Bryn Mawr, will be demolished and a new school constructed.

According to township documents, the existing square footage of the school's buildings is 80,100, all of which will be demolished.
Replacing that will be 114,000 square feet of building space.

Construction is expected to begin in fall this year, with substantial completion expected at the start of the 2027-28 school year. The district anticipates final completion of the project will be in winter 2027.
