RADNOR TOWNSHIP — Radnor Township is celebrating the Grand Re-opening of two township parks with a free summer concert on Wednesday, July 22. Melissa Martin and the Mighty Rhythm Kings will perform from 6:30-8 p.m. with a 7:15 p.m. intermission celebrating township park renovations at Bo Connor Park and at Warren Filipone Park along S. Devon Ave.
The concert is free, but attendees must reserve tickets by emailing recreation@radnor.org or by callling (610) 688-5600 X190. The rain date for the event is July 23, according to a Radnor Township media announcement.
The Radnor Township Board of Commissioners authorized the park improvements in 2015, approving funding for several parks and trail improvement projects. Park improvements at Bo Connor Park include fencing replacement, sidewalk repairs, ball field and basketball court repairs, and the installation of a pickleball court, according to the township website. Warren Filipone Park saw parking lot improvements, repairs to its tennis court and ball field fence, installation of dugouts, and installation of accessible walkways and a crosswalk.
