Renovations Nearly Complete for Radnor Indoor Dog Park
The owner of the Radnor Veterinary Hospital replaced the softer, faux grass floor with an easier to clean surface.

Work is almost finished for renovations to the Radnor Veterinary Hospital’s indoor dog park, according to owner Dr. Len Donato, and his nose could not be happier.
The popular doggy day care center featured a soft, grass-like carpet for the pooches, but it had one big drawback, the odor.
“It held in the moisture, and it was very difficult to get rid of it,” said Donato. “Since we had it redone, it smells much nicer.”

The Radnor Dog Club now sports an apoxy floor that remains soft enough that the dogs can maintain their grip without slipping around. The new floor was the major component of the renovation project, with smaller adjustments finishing up this week.
The 4,000 sq.-ft. facility is completely indoors, said Donato, which makes it the perfect place to bring man’s best friend when it is cold, wet, rainy or extremely hot. After registering with the club, potential clients are asked to bring their dogs for a temperament test, to check how they do in the environment surrounded by other dogs.

“If it looks like they will fit in, the clients can bring them in anytime during the week,” said Donato. “There’s no set schedule, whatever works for them.”
Donato says the club has the capacity to host at least 50 dogs comfortably at once, with plenty of room for them to move around. They are split into smaller groups and take turns with the various activities.
The Radnor Dog Park is located at 107 N. Aberdeen Avenue in Wayne. It is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call (610) 465-9516 for more information.
