See How Delco School Districts Stack Up In New Ranking

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Schools in Delaware County are among those ranked as the best in Pennsylvania in Niche’s 2025 Best Schools and Districts rankings released this week.

According to the rankings, the Radnor Township School District led all Delaware County schools with an A+ ranking. Radnor was also ranked No. 1 in the state.

Niche gave Radnor Township Schools a letter grade of A+. Grades in specific categories were:

• Teachers: A+
• Clubs and activities: A
• Sports: A+
• Resources and facilities: B+
• Diversity: B-
• College prep: A+
• Administration: A
• Food: A+

The Top 10 school districts in Delaware County are:

1. Radnor Township School District — A+
2. Garnet Valley School District — A+
3. Wallingford-Swarthmore School District — A
4. Marple Newtown School District — A
5. Springfield School District — A
6. School District of Haverford Township — A
7. Rose Tree Media School District — A
8. Interboro School District — B
9. Ridley School District — B-
10. Penn-Delco School District — B-

The rankings differ from others that rely almost exclusively on test scores and academic performance in that it also includes input from students, alumni, and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources, and facilities.
