See How Much Rain Fell In The Radnor Area Overnight

RADNOR, PA — The skies opened up on the Philadelphia region overnight Wednesday into Thursday, finally bringing a good amount of rain to the area after a long dry spell.

Storms rolled through the region, bringing rain, thunder, and lightning throughout the night.

So how much rain fell?

Well, in the Radnor area, nearly a full inch of rain fell.

According to the National Weather Service, 0.96 inches of rain fell in Wayne. That total was reported by a member of the Citizen Weather Observer Program.

In Villanova, 0.87 inches of rain were recorded via the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network.

Another member of the Citizen Weather Observer Program reported 0.71 inches in St. Davids.

And 0.59 inches of rain were recorded in Bryn Mawr by the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network.

The most rain in Delaware County was recorded in Swarthmore, with 1.15 inches recorded there.

In the five-county region, the Stroud Water Research Center in Avondale, Chester County, had the most rain with 1.6 inches recorded.
