Smashburger to Open Soon in Radnor

Radnor's Smashburger will be the first Pennsylvania location.

Smashburger, which famously smashes its certified Black Angus beef balls into patties, will open Wednesday, August 7 in the St. Davids Square shopping center at 550 East Lancaster Avenue, according to the company.

It will be the first Pennsylvania Smashburger, which started in Denver, said Sean Leonard, one of the owners. There are about 200 Smashburgers around the country.

In addition to the burgers (which has a proprietary “smashing” process of cooking its beef), the menu includes chicken sandwhiches, salads and side dishes.

Additionally, Smashburger will be offering area residents a regionally-inspired menu to fit the taste preferences of the local flavors and culture, according to the company. The Radnor menu will include:

  • The Philly Smashburger – 100% Angus beef burger topped with grilled onions, Cheez Whiz and Gulden’s Mustard on a pretzel bun.
  • The Philly Dog – 100% Angus beef dog, grilled onions, Cheez Whiz and Gulden’s Mustard

Sides include fries tossed with rosemary, olive oil and garlic, cheese fries and fried pickles.
