Tax Hike Proposed In 2025-26 Radnor School District Budget

The Radnor Township School District Board will discuss the 2025-26 budget Monday night at Radnor Middle school.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — The preliminary 2025-26 budget for the Radnor Township School District has a proposed property tax increase, and the budget will be discussed Monday night by the school board.

Featured in the budget is a 4 percent increase in the millage rate.

Should the millage increase be approved later this year, it will rise from 15.2109 to 15.8193 mills.

According to district documents, a 15.8193 millage rate would result in $125.2 million in revenue, which would leave a difference of $198,704 when looking at the budgeted $125.4 million in expenses.

With the proposed millage rate, Radnor Township homes with average assessed values of $730,613 will have an $11,113.28 face value tax bill. That would be $443 higher than the 2024-25 bill.

Residents who pay their tax bill between July 1 to Aug. 31 will get a 2 percent discount on the bill.

The preliminary 2025-26 budget will be discussed at 7 p.m. Monday at a Regular Board Business Meeting Tuesday in the Radnor Middle School Auditorium, 150 Louella Ave. in Wayne.
