Three Delco Council Candidates Removed from Primary Ballot
A filing error forced a judge to kick all three Democratic candidates from the primary ballots for the county council election.

All three Democratic candidates for seats on the Delaware County Council are in danger of watching this year’s election from the sidelines.
According to Newsworks.org, a Delaware County judge Thursday forced the removal of Jack Evans, Christine Reuther and Richard Womack from the May 19 primary ballot.
Judge James Proud of the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas based on the improper filing of financial statements. The disclosure forms were erroneously submitted to the Board of Elections instead of the county clerk, the report says.

The county Democratic Committee chairman, David Landau, told philly.com that an appeal to the Commonwealth Court is planned.
If the appeal fails, the three incumbent Republican candidates could run unopposed for re-election.
