Blue Route Reopens After Vehicle Fire

An RV with Montana plates caught fire near mile marker 14.

The Blue Route reopened late Monday afternoon after a vehicle fire in the area of mile market 14 prompted a response from several fire companies and a miles-long traffic backup, according to authorities.

According to the Main Line Media News, the fire originated in an RV with Montana plates that was towing a vehicle with a Florida license.

Crews arrived on the scene just after 1 p.m., according to Montgomery County dispatchers, and police closed Montgomery Avenue between Matsonsford and Spring Mill roads shortly thereafter to accomodate fire personell.
