The grant was awarded through the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Multimodal Transportation Fund, which finances projects to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of Pennsylvania.
"Preventing sidewalks and crosswalks from falling into disrepair isn’t just common sense—it’s a wise and responsible investment of state dollars," Borowski said. "Well-designed and maintained walkways protect pedestrians’ lives, reduce accidents and strengthen communities overall. Everyone deserves to feel safe when walking in their neighborhood, and that’s exactly what these investments aim to achieve."
The other project is in Newtown Square.
