WEATHER ALERT: Slick Conditions Remain as Speed Restrictions Lifted

Plus, more bitter cold is on the way.

The snow and slushy wintry mix have finally stopped -- but now it’s time to shovel, and more bitter cold is on the way.

The snow, which started around noon on Saturday, dumped as much as 6.5 inches on the region and made a mess of area roads.

Speed restrictions, which had been in place on a number of area roadways, were lifted Sunday morning, though officials were still urging drivers to be cautious. “Even if you have a 4WD or AWD vehicle, you will not stop faster on ice. #TakeitSlow,” PennDOT Tweeted.
