White Dog Cafe In Wayne Hosts Dining Out For Dogs
Patrons are invited to dine and support training for dogs to help disabled veterans.
WAYNE, PA —The White Dog Cafe and WMMR’s Preston and Steve plans to host the Sixth Annual Dining Out for the Dogs at 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21.
Proceeds will benefit Alpha Bravo Canine, a non-profit that donates service dogs to veterans suffering from debilitating medical and psychological problems as a result of their active combat duty.
The fundraisers are at White Dog Cafe locations in Wayne, Haverford and Glen Mills.

Owner Marty Grims said the average cost for a puppy to train is $30,000 depending on the disability, noting that Alpha Bravo Canine does not charge veterans for the training or the dog.
“We hope the community will come out and dine for this wonderful cause.”

Grims said that over the past three years, the Dining Out for the Dogs event has raised $150,000.
Plan ahead
Guests are invited to reserve a table in advance where they will be guaranteed outdoor seeing with a puppy for a $35 donation.
There will also be puppy-kissing booths at each location where guests can donate to cuddle one of the puppies.
The menu
The menu includes Coney Island Dog made with Green Meadow farm beef chili, noble cheddar cheese, and pickled red onions, a Southwestern Dog that includes Guacamole, chipotle aioli, cotija cheese, crispy tortillas, the White Dog with white truffle aioli, shellbark hollow goat cheese, mushroom relish or the Backyard Dog with ketchup, mustard, and BBQ potato chip crumble.
Shortbread boned-shaped cookies and pup cakes will be available for dessert.
How to donate
Guests who cannot attend the event but wish to contribute to Dining Out for the Dogs can make a donation now through Aug. 21 at the White Dog Cafe locations by adding any amount at the bottom of their meal check.
