Woman Robbed During Facebook Marketplace Meetup In Delco: Reports

A woman looking to purchase a car via Facebook Marketplace in Delco was robbed of her phone, wallet, credit card, and cash last week.

CHESTER, PA — A woman was robbed during a Facebook Marketplace meet up in Delaware County recently, according to reports.

The incident occurred on Feb. 20 in Chester, according to court records.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports the woman met three people at about 6 p.m. that day on the 200 block of West Fifth Street to purchase a vehicle from them.

One of the three is accused of pointing a gun at the back of the woman's head and threatening to shoot her unless she gave him her money, according to Action News.

The three made off with her wallet, credit card, iPhone, and more than $5,000 in cash intended for buying the vehicle.

Eventually, Anthony Barnes, 26, of Brookhaven and Darrell Alexander, 18, of Philadelphia; and Giovanni Serratore, 17, of Chester, were taken into custody.

Charges filed against them include felony robbery, felony kidnapping, felony theft, felony firearm violations, and numerous other crimes, according to court documents. Serratore is being charged as an adult.

All three are being held in Delaware County as they await their preliminary hearings in March, court documents show.
