Breast Cancer Awareness Run, Walk Oct 22 In Manayunk
The Seventh Annual Friends On The Run will raise awareness for breast cancer and generate funds to support those battling breast cancer.
MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — The Seventh Annual Friends on the Run will raise awareness and funds for breast cancer in Manayunk in late September.
The run and walk will take place the morning of Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Manayunk Tow Path.
Runners will step off at 8 a.m. and walkers at 8:15 a.m.

Registration is $25 for adults and $20 ages 2 to 18. Race day registration is $30.
Virtual participation is also available for $20.

Those who register before Oct. 7 will get a free t-shirt.
Participants will start and finish at Green Lane to Shawmont Turnaround.
The event promotes awareness about breast cancer, enabling Friends in Pink to raise funds to assist those dealing with breast cancer.
While breast cancer is the primary focus, Friends in Pink have funds available on a limited basis for other types of cancer.
Friends in Pink is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit group that was formed in 2009 and is committed to raising funds for those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer in the Roxborough-Manayunk community.
