Christie Slams Phillies Fans On Sports Show, Calls Citizens Bank Unsafe For "Civilized People"
The New Jersey Governor said on an New York sports show that Phillies "fans are generally – generally – angry, awful people."
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie does not have love for the City of Brotherly Love's baseball team or its fans, which was made clear in a recent interview where he slammed the team and the fans.
Christie told SportsNet New York on Wednesday that Phillies fans are "are generally – generally – angry, awful people."
He went on to say that fans of opposing teams are unsafe at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Phils.

"It's not safe for civilized people to go to Citizens Bank Park if you want to root for the other team." Christie said on air.
Christie also flat out said the Phillies "suck" on the New York sports program.

There are other slams on the city's sports team and fans in Christie's appearance on the show.
But remember not to take Christie's comments too seriously: he is a Cowboy's fan after all.
