Why Go: More than 250 artists and craftspeople will converge in Oaks, PA March 15-17 to personally display and sell their unique, handcrafted items during the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. This celebration of American creativity and craftsmanship is a wonderful opportunity to “buy American” from the nation’s finest artisans offering their one-of-a-kind creations in sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, wood, metal, furniture, home accessories, photography and fine art.

Saturdays @ SCEE
Where/When: Saturday, March 16, 2013, 10:30 am The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, 8480 Hagys Mill Rd, Philadelphia, PA
Why Go: Count on us for inspiration and fun for the little ones every Satuday morning. The first and third Saturdays are all about exploring nature: we'll study different objects from nature and take a walk in the woods. The second and fourth Satudays feature read-aloud storytime and old-fashioned games.

Forest Forensics Workshop
Where/When: Saturday, March 16, 2013, 1:00 pm The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, 8480 Hagys Mill Rd, Philadelphia, PA
Why Go: Professor Lauren Howard of Arcadia University teaches you to decipher land use history through the careful examination of trees and landforms. Learn to spot fence rows, tip-up mounda, tree age discontinuities, fire scars and other clues. Workshop begins with a slide presentation then moves outside to our woods for real-world practice. You'll never look at a forest the same way again!
