Reduce your water consumption and help the environment all in one. Join the Friends of the Manayunk Canal for instructions on how to operate a do-it-yourself rain collector barrel. These two workshops at the Venice Island Recreation Center will demonstrate how to effectively collect up to 25 gallons of water at a time through your own rainwater. Collected water can be utilized for washing your car, watering plants and other maintenance choirs.
The $25 fee is for your own barrel (a $150 value).
