A former Philadelphia school teacher, and a 48-year-old mother passed are among those that passed away last week.

Jo-Ellen was a retired teacher for the School District of Philadelphia. She is prede-ceased by her mother Georgette Thompson, brother Joseph Allen Thompson, daughter Melissa and son Michael, Jr. She is survived by her husband Michael Sr., daughter Deanna, sister Wendy Kakolowski and many nieces and nephews as well as many grand nieces and nephews.
