Friends Wissahickon Ice Cream Social Postponed To Aug 21

Wet weather in Wednesday's forecast led organizers to postpone the ice cream social to next week.

PHILADELPHIA — With wet weather in Wednesday's forecast, the Friends of the Wissahickon have postponed their annual Ice Cream Social.

The 13th annual ice cream event will now be held Wednesday, Aug. 21.

The public is invited to enjoy ice cream from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Historic Rittenhouse Town in Wissahickon Valley Park.

There will be free ice cream and nature activities for the whole family

Attendees will meet FOW staff and volunteers, as well as staff from the Wissahickon Environmental Center.

Ice cream is being provided by Bredenbeck's Bakery.
