Health Inspections For Roxborough In 2023 So Far

ROXBOROUGH, PA — Numerous establishments in Roxborough have already been visited by health inspectors in 2023.

Below are establishments visited, their inspection date, and number of violations found, if any:

7 Eleven-23335C - Jan. 9, six violations including unclean restroom surfaces, missing ceiling tiles in a storage area and a wet mop stored in soiled water.

AMY Northwest - Jan. 20, five violations including improperly functioning temperature measuring devices, inaccessible temperature measuring devices and employees’ personal food items stored in a dry food storage closet amongst school food service items.

Edible Arrangements - Jan. 9, five violations including fly sticky paper in storage areas and cutting boards with deep scratches, preventing effective cleaning and sanitizing.

Lankenau Motivational Program - Jan. 18, seven violations including inoperable dishwasher equipment and glue boards with “large amounts of dead insects present.”

Les Petits Cherubs Day Care - Jan. 10, one violation: the infant room (separated by a room divider) was observed with no hank sink near a changing table.

Manayunk's Pizza - Jan. 6, nine violations including inaccessible temperature measuring devices, pooling water at the bottom of a prep refrigerator, unused reach-in refrigerator, ceiling vents observed with heavy dust accumulation and “Cleaning needed in basement needed along walls and corners from dust/debris accumulation.”

Mason Grocery - Jan. 6, nine violations including rusted floor and wire racks in reach-in cooler, no mechanical ventilation or window in basement employee restroom, unfinished ceiling inside basement restroom and unmarked processed ready-to-eat food.

Papa John's Pizza #1640 - Jan. 18, nine violations including unclean wall, stained ceiling, tiles, vents and gaps throughout the facility and an inappropriate domestic microwave present. The food establishment licensee is now required to submit a Plan Review Application.

Popeye's - Jan. 23, nine violations including uncleaned floors near chemical storage area, improperly functioning food temperature measuring devices, prep surface area cleaning needed and frozen chicken unthawed using an unapproved method. The food establishment licensee is now required to submit a Plan Review Application.

Shawmont School, Jan. 20, six violations including unmarked chemical supply containers, inaccessible temperature measuring devices and unsealed utility lines in a storage room.

Wendy's - Jan. 3, 14 violations including large flies observed in bacon prep area, no soap at a prep service/serving area sink, no sign in the front prep/service area to remind food employees to wash their hands, clogged bacon prep area hand sink, foods stored in under-counter refrigerator unit at 50-52 degrees Fahrenheit.
