Learn About Glowing Fungi At Schuylkill Center Event Next Week

The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education is hosting a free virtual discussion on bioluminescent fungi March 16.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education in Roxborough is hosting an upcoming event that will illuminate one of nature's most eye-catching phenomenon.

On Thursday, March 16, a discussion on bioluminescent fungi will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. online.

The virtual event is free to attend.

Educator and mycologist Matt Schink will lead the discussion.

Attendees will learn about how fungi give off naturally emitting light and learn identifying tactics for fungi that could be in their own backyards.
