Make Wreaths And Terrariums In At Valley Green Inn
Friends of the Wissahickon is hosting the annual wreath-making workshop on Dec. 7 and added decorative winter terrariums to this year's fun.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — With the holiday season upon us, Friends of the Wissahickon are inviting members of the public to their annual wreath-making workshop.
The workshop will be held at two times on Saturday, Dec. 7 Valley Green Inn, located at Valley Green Road at Forbidden Drive.
Sessions are being held at 10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A light breakfast will be served at the morning session and a light lunch will be serves at the afternoon session.

This year a new craft has been added to the event: attendees will be able to make their own faux decorative winter terrariums.
Decorate your holiday crafts with fresh western juniper with blue berries, incense-cedar with yellow tips, holly with red berries, and assorted pine cones and ornaments.

Children can also make nature gifts for animals and enjoy a winter woods hike with the Wissahickon Environmental Center.
Enjoy fresh chestnuts roasting on an open fire and hot apple cider.
Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis to FOW members and cost $45 for adults (includes one wreath), $15 per child, or $100 per family (includes two adults, two children, and one wreath). Additional wreaths can be purchased for $20. Adult and family tickets include all food and beverages.
