Manayunk Bistro Hosting ‘Barbie’ Themed Celebration

MANAYUNK, PA - This Manayunk-area bistro is slated to transform into Barbie Land later this month.

In anticipation of Greta Gerwig’s upcoming “Barbie” movie, Manayunk’s Blondie will be hosting a Barbie-themed pop-up from July 17 to 28 featuring themed cocktails - such as the Malibu Barbie, Blondie Bombshell and Ken’s Kiss - and pink plates like Barbie’s Berry Bliss Pancakes.

The pop-up party will take place in Blondie’s Pink Room “decked for a doll” while “chick flicks” play in the background, the bistro said in a statement.

The Barbie experience will be offered daily. Reservations are recommended.

Blondie is located at 4417 Main St. in Philadelphia and is open Monday through Sunday (brunch is offered Friday through Sunday). You can view a full menu on Blondie’s website.

“Barbie,” starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, is set for a July 21 nationwide release, Patch previously reported. Moviegoers can expect Mattel icons Barbie and Ken to leave Barbie Land, explore the streets of Los Angeles and find themselves in an unexpected bind when they get arrested.
