Neighbor Witnesses Mailbox Theft

A woman living in the 500 block of Wartman Street called police after she witnessed a man steal several items from her neighbors mailbox, police said.

According to police, the woman observed a man in a jacket and a hoodie try to gain access to her neighbors house on Dec. 19 at approximately 11:55 a.m.

The woman told police that the man in the hoodie attempted to gain access to the home through a vent window at the side of the house.

The woman then told police that the man went to the front of the house after he failed to gain access through the window.

The man then opened the mailbox at the front of the home and stole all of the items that were inside the woman told police.

Police said that it is unknown what specifically was taken from the mailbox at this time.
