Philadelphia Zoo Launches Live-Streaming Educational Series
Families can tune in at 2 p.m. on weekdays to virtually meet and interact with animals with zoo staff and zookeepers.

PHILADELPHIA — Many families in the Philadelphia area may be wondering how to stay entertained as the practice social distancing amid the local coronavirus outbreak. Well, the Philadelphia Zoo has a new series that will do just that.
The zoo launched its Philly Zoo at 2 on the Philadelphia Zoo Facebook page Thursday.
Each weekday at 2 p.m., zoo staff and zookeepers will host a live-streaming event that will put viewers up close to animals all while in the comfort of their homes.

Philadelphia Zoo's Director of Educational Programs Dani Hogan will host this on going weekday series, which will also feature special guests and Zoo keepers sharing their expertise around Philadelphia Zoo.
On Friday, Philly Zoo at 2 will celebrate World Frog Day from KidZooU.

Future animals that will be spotlighted will include lions, tigers, giraffes, hedgehogs, rhino, red pandas, red tail hawks, and more.
Philly Zoo at 2 will also be one of the main places Philadelphia Zoo will start to share information and introduce brand new spring babies.
Viewers are encouraged to write in and ask questions about their favorite animals during the livestreams.
Philly Zoo at 2 videos will also be available to watch on the Facebook page after the streams end.
