Roxborough Memorial Health Safety Grade Slips, Watchdog Says

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — Roxborough's eminent hospital has earned a less-than stellar hospital safety grade from a non-profit healthcare watchdog group.

The Leapfrog Group issued its newest health safety grades for hospitals around the nation.

And Roxborough Memorial Hospital earned its worst grade yet.

Leapfrog gave the facility a C in its spring 2023 ranks.

Roxborough Memorial was graded B in fall and spring 2022, and it earned an A in fall 2021.

The facility was ranked "better than average" in accidental tears and cuts, handwashing, hospital responsiveness, dangerous bed sores, and more.

However, Leapfrog said Roxborough Memorial ranked "worse than average" for patient falls and injuries, medication and discharge communications, and UTIs, among other factors.
