Roxborough Spring Fest, Rockin' The Ridge Car Show Set For May 10

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — The Roxborough Development Corporation and Roxborough Ridge Runners Car Club are inviting the community to two community events happening on the same day next weekend.
The 23rd Annual Roxborough Spring Fest and the 23rd Annual Rockin' the Ridge Car Show will both take place May 10 in Roxborough.
Attendees will be treated to music, art, activities, food, shopping, and 70 classic and custom cars.

This year's Spring Fest will expand its footprint towards Gorgas Park, joining forces with Ridge Runners for the Rockin’ The Ridge Car Show, making this year’s event bigger and better than ever.
Spring Fest has a new footprint this year and will take place from Green Lane to Hermitage Street from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

It will feature live music across three staging areas, more than 80 local artisans, and food from award–winning food trucks and Ridge Avenues eateries.
Attendees can sip on craft beverages from Pennsylvania’s own New Ridge Brewing Company and Top Dog Cocktails.
Look for a new second stage at Leverington Avenue, programmed by RoxYunk Porch Fest, will highlight local musicians. On the Main Stage, the West Philadelphia Orchestra will open with a second line at 11 a.m. at Hermitage to the Main Stage. Local community groups, Pretzel Theater Company, Action Karate and Jeanette’s School of Dance will entertain with selections from their works.

In addition, Pretty Little Life, The Providers and the Mitchelle Street Philbillies will set the vibe for the day.
Artisans will be selling and demonstrating their craft throughout the event, offering unique, interactive experiences—customizable flower crowns to celebrate spring, pottery demonstrations from local potter Edna Rambo, and Meet the Artist at the Art on the Ride tent.
The Roxborough Pocket Park will be the dedicated Kid’s Zone and family–friendly activities, featuring Flyleaf the Book Fairy.
Meanwhile, the Rockin’ The Ridge Car Show will showcase a collection of classic cars in front of Gorgas Park from Hermitage Street to Fountain Street from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing together car enthusiasts and festival goers alike.
This year’s event will feature dozens of classic and custom cars, with 114 prizes awarded to standout vehicles.
Visitors can enjoy music by a live DJ spinning favorites all day, shop local vendors, and take their chance at winning big with a 50/50 raffle and auctions.
"The Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show is one of our community’s most beloved events," John Boyce, President of Friends of Gorgas Park, said. "It brings together car enthusiasts, families, and neighbors for a fun, high–energy day on the Avenue, while showcasing Gorgas Park as the perfect backdrop for an amazing community celebration."
"We’re proud to bring back the 23rd annual Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show—it’s a highlight of the year for the Ridge Runners and a great way to share our passion for classic cars with the community," Chris Lounsbery, President of the Ridge Runners Car Club, said. "Every year, the turnout gets better, and the energy on Ridge Avenue is incredible. It’s more than a car show—it’s a Roxborough tradition."
The car show will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with awards being presented at 2 p.m. award presentations.
Cars will be on display at Ridge Avenue in front of Gorgas Park, between Leverington Avenue and Fountain Street.
