Schuylkill Center Hosting 'Winterfest For Wildlife' Feb 5
Proceeds from the event — which will feature nature hikes, a wildlife-themed activity, food, and more — will support the Wildlife Clinic.
ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — The Schuylkill Center in Roxborough is gearing up to host its annual Winterfest for Wildlife festival in early February.
From noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, the center — 8480 Hagys Mill Road — will host guided nature hikes, talks by clinic director Chris Strub, a wildlife-themed activity, vendor tables, and more as part of the event.
Food will be provided by Humpty Dumplings.

Registration is required and can be done online here.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation from the center's in-kind wish list to support the Wildlife Clinic. Paper towels, unscented, dye-free laundry detergent, and puppy pee pads are items most needed for patients. A full list of items sought for donation is online here.

The Wildlife Clinic at the Schuylkill Center has been in operation since August 1987.
The clinic’s first patient was a Cooper’s hawk brought to the clinic by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
The clinic has treated more than 90,000 animals in its 35-plus-year history.
The clinic is a core part of the Schuylkill Center’s mission to connect people and nature, rehabilitating and releasing injured and orphaned animals that members of the public bring to the clinic at 304 Port Royal Road.
