Then and Now: Revealed

The location of last week's historic photo is revealed.

Last week I asked readers to identify a nondescript pile of junk.  I'll be honest.  I didn't think anyone would get it.

I was wrong.  We had four guesses, and they were all right.

Reader Hal Schirmer wrote: Foreground is a pile of scrap iron sitting at the Penncoyd Ironworks (now the movies, diner, U-store, Duron Paint & bus turn around). Background are the Sumac Street steps coming down from Ridge Ave / tunnel under the railroad.

Reader Dennis McGuinn wrote: That would be Main Street above and across from the Movie/Shopping Center

Thanks for playing everyone, and be sure to check back next week for another round of Then and Now.
