Tree Crushes Car In South Philadelphia: Report​

Power lines were also victim to the fallen tree, leaving hundreds without power.

As snow came down in Philadelphia and the surrounding area, so did a tree in South Philadelphia. The tree also brought down power lines. And crushed a car.

CBS Philadelphia is reporting the tree came down at 6th and Carpenter streets in South Philly Tuesday morning.

While no one was injured, the car's back window was smashed out and the power lines going down left nearly 500 PECO customers without power, according to the outlet.

The city lifted the snow emergency status at 1 p.m. Tuesday, but residents and motorists are still urged to use caution when traveling in and around the city.
