The 40-year-old man died from blunt force injuries and a stab wound to the neck, the Delaware County Medical Examiner’s office told reporters. Bernheisel’s death has been ruled a homicide.

Officials told CBS Philly that Brennan allegedly murdered Bernheisel and kept the body inside a sleeping bag in a close, at a house on the 200 block of Wilder Street in Philadelphia. Police say Brennan transported Bernheisel’s corpse to Tinicum Township in a suitcase and left it on the side of the road.
