Good Friday and Easter in the Sewickley Valley: What's Open, What's Closed

Hippity, hoppity, Easter's on its way!
With a major holiday comes closings of area institutions and businesses. Here's a rundown of what's going to be open or closed.
Sewickley Public Library – Closed Friday, March 29 and Sunday, March 31.

Sewickley Valley YMCA - Recreational hours 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 29 and closed on Sunday, March 31. During holiday hours of operation baby-sitting will be closed.
The warm water pool will be open Friday for Family Swim from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All programs will resume on the following business day. Children under the age of 14 are asked to follow youth hours on holidays.

Post Offices – Regular mail delivery and collection.
State Stores - Open for normal business hours Friday and Saturday. All stores closed on Sunday.
Quaker Valley School District – School resumes on Tuesday, April 2.
Sewickley Academy – School resumes Tuesday, April 2.
Sewickley Municipal Offices - Closed Friday, March 29 (including Aleppo, Bell Acres, Edgeworth, Glenfield, Glen Osborne, Haysville, Leetsdale, Leet, Sewickley, Sewickley Heights, Sewickley Hills).
Federal, state, and Allegheny county offices and courts including the Department of Court Records, the Court of Common Pleas, the district attorney’s office, and the sheriff’s office will be closed in observance of Good Friday. Offices and departments reporting to the county executive will be open
Port Authority of Allegheny County - bus, T and incline service will operate on normal schedules on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For more information, see the Pittsburgh Port Authority website.
Giant Eagle – Open 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 31. Pharmacy closed.
