National Weather Service Issues Wind Advisory
A cold front is bringing strong wind gusts to the Sewickley area.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the region, including Allegheny, Beaver and Butler counties.
The wind advisory remains in effect until 1 p.m. today, with gusts of up to 45 mph predicted.Â
The strongest winds are expected around dawn, continuing until late morning, according to the weather service. Temperatures are expected to drop today as well.

Strong winds can cause downed tree limbs and power lines, so drivers should use caution particularly over bridges and overpasses, the weather service said.

Today:Â Rain before noon, then a chance of snow. Temperature falling to around 29 by 5 p.m. Breezy, with a southwest wind 18 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tonight:Â A chance of snow showers, mainly before 10pm. Cloudy, with a low around 15. West wind around 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Wednesday: A slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 24. Wind chill values as low as -1. Breezy, with a west wind 18 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
