2 New Positive West Nile Results for Springfield
The results are in for the latest set of West Nile virus test.
Two new mosquitoes samples in Springfield test positive for the West Nile virus, Pennsylvania’s West Nile Virus Control Program reported Wednesday.
The mosquito samples in Springfield were one of 112 positive tests across the state that the program reported Wednesday, an addition to two avian samples.

Pennsylvania's West Nile Virus Control Program reported a positive sample on Wednesday in Springfield Township. Positive tests for mosquitoes with West Nile virus were returned on five other days this summer: July 18, July 10, June 28, June 21 and June 20.
