Blotter: Air Conditioner Stolen, Vehicle Egged

Woman Steals Air Conditioner From Best Buy, According to Security
July 11: Security reported that a female was observed leaving the  store without paying for a Frigidaire air conditioner from a display. The investigation showed that the person placed two air conditioners into a shopping cart and approached the register. Once at the register she explained to the sales clerk that she was returning one of the air conditioners in exchange for the second one. The salesperson proceeded with the transaction and security later realized what had taken place. The actor entered a vehicle that left the lot onto Baltimore Pike. The incident is under investigation by Detective James Devaney.
Bike Stolen From Yard
July 12: A resident from the 400 block of Lynbrooke Road. reported that sometime between noon and 1:23 p.m. on July 12 and the time of the report someone stole his blue colored, boy’s, Mongoose bike from the side yard of the home.
Graffiti Marks School District Sign, Trolley Stop
July 12: administrators reported that sometime during the night someone spray-painted graffiti on the building’s sign adjacent to the bus depot off of West Leamy Avenue. Further investigation showed that the SEPTA trolley stop on West Leamy Avenue had also been spray-painted with the same graffiti.
Vehicle Egged
July 13: A resident from the 500 block of Glendale Circle reported that sometime during the night someone egged his vehicle while it was parked on the street in front of the home. Damage was done to the paint on the vehicle.
