• Large gift propels Merry Christmas Fund (delcotimes.com) — Springfield residents and a local business just delivered a huge boost to the 2025 Merry Christmas Fund, including a $5,000 gift from Zip Electric and a $1,000 memorial donation. Their generosity helped push the Salvation Army campaign to nearly 40 percent of its $50,000 goal, supporting local families in need. 
• High Schools: Miller's 20 powers Chester Charter SA past Dock Mennonite (delcotimes.com) — Springfield High’s girls basketball team stayed perfect at 5-0 with a 48-37 Central League win over Penncrest, led by 15 points from Lili DiTrolio.
