Rash of Bike Thefts in Springfield

A number of bikes have gone missing since the beginning of the month.

Springfield Police report a number of reported bicycle thefts around the township since the beginning of September.
 

  • A resident from the 300 block of Garden Road reported that sometime during the night of September 15 someone stole his brown colored TREK Hybrid boy’s bike from the unlocked shed in the rear yard of the property. The bike is valued in excess of $300.

 

  • A resident from the 300 block of Lynbrooke Road reported that sometime during the night of September 15 someone stole his orange colored MAGNA BMX boy’s bike from the rear yard of the home. The bike is valued at $75.

  • A resident from the unit block of S. Alford Road reported that sometime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on September 18 someone stole his white colored Tony Hawk boy’s bike from the rear porch of the home. The bike is valued at $240.

 

  • A resident from the 300 block of Ballymore Road reported that sometime during the night of September 20 someone stole two bikes from his detached garage in the rear alley of the home. The garage had been left unlocked. One is a blue colored Men’s Fisher Mountain Bike, and the other is a silver colored Men’s Rock Hopper Mountain Bike. Both bikes are valued at $400.

  • A resident from the Unit block of Surrey Road reported that sometime during the night of Sept. 11 someone stole two boy's BMX bikes from the basement of his apartment building. The bikes are valued at $200.
