Santa Coming To Springfield Mall This Weekend

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Santa Claus is coming to town.
That's right, Jolly Old Saint Nick will be coming to Delaware County this weekend as he arrives at the Springfield Mall.
Santa will roll up to the mall on a Springfield Township Fire truck at 10 a.m. Saturday.

From 10 a.m. to noon, community members are invited to wear their favorite holiday pajamas and enjoy holiday entertainment and activities with Santa including cookie and hot chocolate stations, crafts, games, special performances, and character visits.
Throughout the season, the mall will host family photos with Santa, Black Friday giveaways, "Kringle Mingle," and other seasonal events.

Food, drink, and gift wrapping stations benefiting nonprofits in the community will also be available.
"We're looking forward to kicking off the holiday season with the Philadelphia community," said Lisa Pellicciotta, Senior Director, Consumer Marketing at PREIT. "The next couple of weeks will offer something special for all ages to get in the holiday spirit. Our Philly malls are the perfect locations to celebrate and shop for your gift list with unbeatable deals and events."
In November, the mall will give away one to three Santa Photo Packages as part of this year's giveaway frenzy.
Pets are again welcome to visit with Santa this year on Mondays.
Feathered, whiskered and hoofed pets are all welcome, as long as they are kept on a leash or in a crate at all times.
At the "Kringle Mingle" event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 9, shoppers will be encouraged to come dressed as Santa to get access to holiday freebies.
PREIT partnered with restaurants to provide free drink coupons for families and will be providing free "sleigh it" bags filled with retailer coupons, gift cards, and a chance to win a grand prize.
Springfield Mall will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and will reopen at 7 a.m. on Black Friday for weekend holiday shopping
