Driver Dies After Car Collides With SEPTA Train On Elwyn Line
Train service was suspended for a few hours Tuesday afternoon after a vehicle crashed into a SEPTA Media/Elwyn Line train.
UPPER DARBY, PA – A person has died after their car crashed into a SEPTA train on the Media/Elwyn Line train Tuesday afternoon.
Around 1:30 p.m., an outbound Regional Rail train collided with a car at a grade crossing in Secane. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to SEPTA officials.
According to officials, the gates at the grade crossing were working properly and were in the down position when the car entered the crossing.
