SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.

Incidents mentioned in the blotter occurred between July 6 and July 11.

July 6, 3:13 p.m.
Officers responded for a report of a subject outside a business on the 100 block of Saxer Avenue yelling and making noise towards people using the business. A 58-year-old man from Springfield was located in the area and identified as the actor. He will be charged with disorderly conduct.

July 9, 3:52 p.m.
Officers investigated a crash in which a vehicle struck a parked vehicle on the 100 block of Claremont Rd. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 43-year-old man from Springfield, was located in the area and appeared to be suffering from an opioid overdose. He was treated by police and medical personnel and transported to a hospital. Charges for DUI and Traffic Offenses are pending.

July 10, 4:53 a.m.
Officers responded to a crash on the 400 block of E. Leamy Avenue. There they found a vehicle had struck two parked cars. The identified the driver of the striking vehicle, 35-year-old man from Mt. Union, PA, who appeared to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and submitted to a blood test and later turned over to family. Charges for DUI and Traffic Offenses will be filed.

July 10, 9:08 p.m.
A 60-year-old man from Folsom was arrested for DUI after being involved in a crash on the 600 block Baltimore Park. The male struck the rear of a vehicle which then struck a third vehicle. The male was taken to a hospital where he submitted to a blood test. He stayed at the hospital for treatment and will be charged with DUI.

July 11, 2:10 p.m.
Target security at the mall notified police that a male suspect from a prior theft was in the store again, and this time switching prices tags at the self-checkout area. The suspect was observed leaving the mall lot in a vehicle which was subsequently stopped by police on Baltimore Park. The male was identified as Samuel Galstian, 40, from Morton. He was found to have stolen over $160 worth of clothing and household goods on this date and over $300 worth of items a few days prior. The male was taken for arraignment. Several unlocked vehicles were entered during the week in the area of Parker Lane, School Lane, Leamy Avenue, Franklin Avenue, Beechwood Avenue, Norwinden Dr. Loose change and cash was removed from the vehicles.
