This mixture of old bay seasoning, sour cream, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese and crab meat will leave you salivating.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — If you plan it right, the snacks at your football watch party Feb. 11 will be as much discussed as the key plays. When we asked Springfield readers to submit their MVP-worthy recipes, Stephanie Turvey submitted this recipe:
Ralph's Super Bowl Crab Dip
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 c sour cream
- 1/4 c shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
- Dash of garlic powder
- Heavy dash of old bay seasoning
- 8 ounces of cream cheese
- 1 pound of lump crab meat
- Mix above together and place in casserole dish, top with more cheese and bake at 350 for about 1/2 hours or until bubbling. Serve with Italian bread or crackers.
You can still submit recipes for appetizers, dishes or snacks to inspire others who are fourth and long and short on ideas. Be sure to tell us why your guests will do a touchdown dance over your party spread.
