• Merry Christmas Fund with another 4-digit day (delcotimes.com) — A Springfield resident, Patricia Wholahan, is among the latest donors helping the Merry Christmas Fund reach 27 percent of its $50,000 goal to support local families with food and toys. The fund, run through the Salvation Army, is already running well ahead of last year, and residents can still give by mail or online with a brief holiday message.
   

• High Schools: Nyah Yao's 25-point effort leads Radnor past Strath Haven (delcotimes.com) — Springfield High’s boys basketball team fell to Penncrest, 51-36, after being held to 30 percent shooting and committing 14 second-half turnovers.
