"...the SHS Dance Marathon team raised $194,114.36 to fight pediatric cancer (Four Diamonds). This is a remarkable accomplishment for our students. The student leadership team, along with hundreds of SHS students and teacher-facilitator John Gildea, worked tirelessly to achieve this success."
The Four Diamonds Fund is based at the PennState Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey. According to the fund's website the money raised helps families coping with childhood cancers meet expenses not covered by insurance. It also helps fund research and medical support staffs for cancer patients.
