Young Delco Actress Makes a Splash in “The Little Mermaid"

Madeline Garson of Wallingford, PA performs as part of the ensemble of Disney's "The Little Mermaid" at Walnut Street Theatre

Madeline Garson performs on the Walnut Mainstage in the ensemble of Disney’s The Little Mermaid playing now through January 2, 2022.

Based on the beloved Hans Christian Andersen story and the classic film, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is the hauntingly beautiful story of Ariel, who dreams of finding her own way in the world above the sea. Featuring unforgettable songs such as "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World," Disney’s The Little Mermaid promises to be one of the most spectacular productions ever staged at the Walnut!

Madeline Garson is a seventh grader at Strath Haven Middle School (SHMS) in Wallingford, PA and studies voice, dance, piano, and acting. She is a member of the SHMS’s cross country team and volunteers with Haven G.R.O.W. in her spare time to maintain The Zach Rufo Habitat Garden.

Garson makes her Walnut debut this season but is no stranger to the stage or The Little Mermaid. She has performed in numerous productions since starting at seven years old, including most recently a production of The Little Mermaid JR. at Hedgerow Theatre School, in which she starred as Ariel.

Audiences can see Madeline Garson and the cast of Disney’s The Little Mermaid this holiday season, as they show audiences why “life is the bubbles under the sea!”
